About
Julia Malik is a fine artist living in New England. She is drawn to a combination of observations from life and work from the imagination. She seeks to develop paintings that allow the view to bring their own interpretation to the scene.
She earned a certificate in graphic design at the School of the Museum of Fine Art, (Boston, MA) and has continued studies in drawing from life at Lyme Academy of Fine Art, (Old Lyme, CT) and the New Salem Museum and Academy (New Salem, MA), and in workshops with Dan Thompson, Jon de Martin, Stephen Bauman, Tyler Berry, and Chelsea Bard. She has taken additional workshops and classes in painting with Todd Casey, Michael Klein, Cornelia Hernes, Tyler Berry, and Chelsea Bard.
She is currently in the second year of a mentorship program with Todd Casey and has studied painting and drawing with him since 2022.
